Soccer Report Extra Podcast: Episode 37 – Defying Logic For Quite Some Time Now

If Diego Maradona is the ‘Son of Napoli’, and Sergio Aguero is the son-in-law of Diego Maradona, and Jurgen Klopp is the long-lost 3rd Gruber brother from the Die Hard series of German uber-villains, then does that make Javier Saviola a ‘flea’ or a ‘rabbit’?  And what the hell is an REO Bandwagon anyway?  The logic will astound you in this week’s episode, and once you’ve wrapped your brain around all that, there’s some great analysis in there too!  Bobby & Eoin discuss some controversial refereeing decisions from the Premier League this past weekend, preview the opposition awaiting English teams in midweek Champions League action, and take a moment to recognize the significance of Shamrock Rover’s participation in the Europa League group stage.

  1. Boris says:

As I’ve been saying for over a year now, Perisic will be the one to watch . Sooner or later he will break into Dortmund’s first eleven. I think the wonder goal against Arsenal will have sped up the process.

  2. Terrific goal and a great game. Same with Barcelona/Milan and half way through Chelsea/Bayer which is another cracking match.

  3. LA says:

    Listening to podcast.

Thought you would mention De Gea’s launching ability.

Dalglish had nothting to complain about unless it was just a ploy to deflect attention. Carragher just has to get a foot in because he has a great goalie behind him; the drag down was not subtle.

The bloody episode segued nicely into the Blackburn game..kidding.

Kun Aguero would be the grandson in law being the son in law of the son of Napoli?

  4. Roberto Manita says:

Someone should do the humane thing and take Carragher behind the barn (the Kop) and please put him out of his misery. For the love of God.

And could someone please tell Pep not to play Busquets as a CB again.

    Thank you.

    Great MD1 btw.

    Cheers all 😀
