Re: the most hackneyed phrase or comment award – can I nominate any phrase that referred to how long it took Fernando Torres to score his first goal in Chelsea Blue.

So, with the EPL & European leagues winding up and the Champions League being decided shortly, what will the podcast be focusing on during the off season?

  2. Gillian – MLS, Gold Cup, Copa America, FIFA Under 17s and Under 20s. Lots to talk about.

  3. Gillian says:

I agree, Bobby. Tons to talk about. This is one of the few sites that gives MLS some serious love, so YAY for that!

Speaking of Gold Cup, will there be a post about the team rosters?

  4. Soccerlogical says:

    BEST EPISODE EVER!!!

Listened to the pod during my morning run and tripped over the sidewalk… ChikaritOw.

    Bobby’s got jokes.

PS Always thought Elmander and Coyle were overrated.

PPS Chamakh was NOT a flop as he produced in the beginning of season when RVP was injured and you can’t expect him to be as prolific when resigned to the bench upon RVP’s return and just turn it back on.

  5. Gillian – probably incorporate something into a general preview in a week or so.

  6. Gillian says:

@SoccerLogical – thanks for the reminder that Chamakh actually did perform well for Arsenal during the early part of the season. If I recall correctly, there was quite a bit of buzz around him at that time.
