Soccer Report Extra Podcast: Episode 10 – We’re Into Double Digits!

This week Bobby McMahon is away, so Eoin O’Callaghan is joined on the podcast by fellow Fox Soccer Report anchor, Derek Taylor.  The dynamic duo tackle all things Champions League – including Manchester United’s triumph over Chelsea at Old Trafford, Raul getting another crack at United in europe, Real Madrid & Barcelona getting set to renew acquaintances again and again… and Derek pleads with anyone who’ll listen to ‘get off Fernando Torres’ back!’

Plus, Roberto Mancini’s job teeters on the brink as City prepare to face their cross-town rivals in the FA Cup semifinals – a topic which also prompts Eoin to make his retro-movie-rental recommendation of the week (hint: a Michael Caine classic featuring a Mini Cooper  full of gold and  a real ‘cliff-hanger’ of an ending).

  1. Robin says:

Love the podcast. Please keep it going

  2. Bryan says:

Nice performance coming off the bench by the new guy.

And it was a bus hanging over the edge Eoin!

  3. Eoin O'Callaghan says:

Bryan – Apologies. Knew it was wrong as soon as I said it, pretty much. Mixed up the boys driving the Minis into the bus at the crescendo…It’s what happens in a live recording – sometimes you make silly mistakes!

  4. Aaron says:

I would like to say two things, Love the podcast. The second thing is dzeko played with a partner and when he plays with city he plays as a lone striker with a second striker within tevez or some other midfielder.

  5. Aaron – you are absolutely correct on that. Dzeko looks very uncomfortable leading the line on his own.
