They finally found a way to stop Gareth Bale from scoring this weekend. Agreed, Tottenham Hotspur did not have a game after being knocked out of the FA Cup in the 4th round a few weeks ago, but it did offer a respite from the escalating hype.
The 23-year-old Welshman has been pretty much carrying his side over the last few games and has scored all six of their goals in the last four games. Bale has scored 17 goals in 29 appearances this season and with each goal comparisons with… to read more please click on the link.

Another great effort from him today, Bobby… whatever his faults (and there is no way he can be put in the same class as Messi), he is certainly on an amazing run…
He’s playing fantastic football. The Spurs would be mid table without him. I for one hope the Spurs earn CL play. It could allow them to keep him and build upon it. The BPL just might be in need of a revitalization in the CL.
As for comparisons, there’s already been plenty of the next Messi and/or Cristiano that have fizzled out. Let him be Bale, and maybe everything else could work itself out.
